Choosing A Month
Choosing the month for your session is so important with how the images turn out! Every month is gorgeous for pictures, but to make sure that your session turns out how you are dreaming of, it's important to choose a month that correlates with your vision board!
January
If you want your session to have neutral colors, January is a great time of the year to have your session! The grass is yellow, but it edits beautifully and typically turns out to have a white/golden look to it!
February
If you still want a winter look to your session but would rather have them be colorful, you can wear an outfit that makes your pictures "pop"! February is a great time to take pictures, as the location can be neutral, like they are in January :)
March
March is such a beautiful month! The grass is starting to become greener, flowers are blooming, and the weather is great outside (when it's not raining haha)! If you love spring or would rather take the pictures before the heat of summer comes, March could be the perfect month for you!
April
In April, the grass and flowers are more fully bloomed. This gives the perfect spring look to your session. Just like in March, if you'd like to take vibrant, colorful pictures before the heat of summer comes in, April could be a great month for your session!
May
May is an absolutely beautiful month for pictures! The grass is so vibrant outside and the weather is warmer, so you can wear the cute sundresses or jumpsuits without being in the worst parts of summer weather haha!
June
If you are a summer lover, June could be the perfect month for your session! This month is gorgeous and the sun sets late, allowing for more time for pictures.
July
If you love summer, July is great month for your pictures! One great thing about summer is the vibrancy of the grass and the beautiful sunsets.
August
Although August can be hot and humid, it does offer the beautiful green grass! I think it's still a great month to take pictures as it's the last summer month before fall starts!
September
If you love summer and fall, I would consider September for your session! If you have 2 outfits, you could do a summer and fall outfit to have a variety of pictures! In Arkansas, it is hot in September most of the time, however some of the fall foliage begins in the later part of the month.
October
October begins the "fall" picture! The fall foliage becomes bold and temperatures are cooler, giving the perfect fall feel for your images!
November
November is such a great time for your session! The fall foliage continues in the bold colors and the temperatures are cooler, so bundle up for your session and you can bring out all the fall outfits you've been waiting allll year for!
December
December is a beautiful month and is great for Christmas cards! There isn't typically a lot of rain in this month, so the chance of rescheduling due to weather is lower. Family sessions are very common during this month, but it's also great for seniors that want a winter session!
